Deon from The Scatterlings invites all riders to join in an outride visiting local attractions on the public holiday, Friday 27 April. This is a free outride for off-road bikes but road bikes welcome (they may need to take a few deviations)
We will meet in front of Osner Hotel at 8:30 , leave for Kei Mouth at 9. Our first stop is at the photogenic Morgan Bay Cliffs. These impressive slabs of dolerite, which drop some 50 metres into the pounding surf, are an ideal vantage point. If you’re lucky, you may even see the dolphins frolicking in the waves which crash against the rocks below.
Then we follow a scenic route of beaches and cliffs to Kei Mouth. We will cross the pont and head down to either the Seagulls Hotel or the Bush Pig in Kei Mouth for lunch.
The Morganville Motorcycle Museum
On the way back we will stop off at Billy Nels private bike museum.
Billy Nel is a self-confessed hoarder and anyone who has had the opportunity to view his personal collection of historic motorbikes, cars and many other antiques is ever grateful for his passion for preserving historic items.
The Museum houses over 600 motorcycles including a very rare Yamaha GTS100A however, the highlight of the collection is no doubt the Convair 800 passenger Jet, of which there are only two left in their original state. The one here and the other belonging to the late Elvis Presley named, The Lisa Marie which is parked at Graceland. The Jet was once the personal transport of the stars such as Barbara Streisand, the Rolling Stones, John Denver and The Who.

In 2017 the SuperGP Champions Trophy and Africa Bike Week™ joined forces for the first time. After the success of the inaugural event, GAS Sports and Africa Bike Week™ are pleased to announce that the partnership will continue in 2018.
This year Africa Bike Week™ will take place between 26 and 29 April with the Eastern Cape SuperGP, the third round of the 2018 championship, taking place at the iconic East London Grand Prix Circuit on 27 and 28 April.
Africa Bike Week™ was held in East London for the first time in 2017 after 8 years in Margate on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast with bikers giving the new venue, which features an entertainment area that can accommodate up to 4 500 riders at any one time, a resounding thumbs-up.
The SuperGP Champions Trophy, South Africa’s leading motorcycle racing series, enters its fifth season in 2018 with each year building on the success of the previous years with many of its alumni going on to great things on the international stage.
Executive Director of GAS Sports, Stephen Watson, said, “In 2017 we partnered with Africa Bike Week™ for the first time. Positive feedback, from both riders and fans alike, has prompted us to continue working together to build an even better event in 2018. Africa Bike Week™ has grown into South Africa’s premier motorcycle lifestyle event and the inclusion of world-class superbike racing enhances the overall weekend experience for motorcycle enthusiasts.”
Carl Frayne, Africa Bike Week™ Project Manager, said, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Super GP again this year. Being the 115th Harley-Davidson® Motor Company anniversary and the 10th presentation of Africa Bike Week™ the 2018 event is going to be a celebration of the sport of motorcycling and the related lifestyle. Add to that top SA bands performing daily on the main stage, Stunt Shows, Flight Night, Trial Bike displays, BMW & Skateboard action and Africa Bike Week™ 2018 is a must-attend event. Free registration online also puts event attendees into a lucky draw to win a new Harley-Davidson® motorcycle.
